A YEAR IS A FAVOURITE
The Glenfiddich Vintage Reserve selection is an eagerly awaited occasion, not just by the whisky collectors and connoisseurs, but also by the distillery craftsmen who have spent more than 30 years ensuring the chosen cask of whisky is worthy of being called a Vintage Reserve.
As with previous years, the Glenfiddich Malt Master, David Stewart, invited a number of nosing or tasting experts to assist him in the selection. Originating from Russia, Germany, the Unites States, and the United Kingdom, the panel members are all recognized for nosing and tasting skills.
Erkin Touzmohametov - Russia's foremost expert on Scotch whisky and former editor of Angel's Share, a Russian whisky magazine.
Walter Schobert - the accomplished German author and journalist is highly regarded throughout Europe for his deep knowledge of the whisky industry.
Gavin D Smith - a whisky writer who has penned tens of books on the subject.
Jimmy Bradley - owner and head chef of two award-winning New York restaurants, the Red Cat and the Harrison.
