Born 1976 in Penghu, Taiwan. Lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan Shiau-Peng’s trademark abstract and geometric work is fuelled by a strong sense of spatial awareness and a sensitivity to geographic and social placement. Working in a number of different media and expressions including the publication of several artists books Shiau-peng has exhibited widely across Asia and Australia. Maps/street plans and aerial photographs all act as spring boards from which she creates an abstract, temporal sequence that evolves through changing colours and arrangements, designed to symbolize her personal reactions to the landscape of the area.
