Glenfiddich Vivid Memories

Short terms: Daily competition opens 02/06/14 closes noon on 13/06/14. Open to GB residents, 18 years or over. Internet access required.

1. Eligibility to enter / opening and closing dates

1.1 This promotion is open to residents of the Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) only. Employees of William Grant & Sons Distillers Limited, their immediate families, agencies, or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion are not eligible to enter.

1.2 Entrants must be aged 18 years old or over only and have access to the internet and an email account.

1.3 This promotion opens on 02/06/14 and will close at noon on 13/06/14. Any entry received after the promotion has closed will not be valid.

1.4 No purchase necessary.

1.5 By entering this promotion entrants will be deemed to have accepted, and will be bound by, these terms and conditions.

2. How to apply

2.1 To enter the competition share the photo you would like to be restored. You can enter by uploading your photo and completing all of the relevant personal information in the form found here.

2.2 Late, invalid or incomplete entries will not be considered, and we accept no responsibility for lost entries. Entrants who do not give correct details or those who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion. No entries from agents, third parties, organised group or entries automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No bulk entries. Duplicate entries will not be accepted.

 2.3 Your entry must not infringe the rights of any other party. You must own the copyright in any photograph you enter and it is your responsibility to ensure it was taken with the permission of anyone featured and that they consent to you submitting the entry for the purposes set out in these terms and conditions.

No one who is or looks under the age of 25 should be shown drinking alcohol in the images and any such images will be removed and disqualified immediately.  If an image shows any person under the age of 16 you must have received the consent of their parent or legal guardian to make and submit the entry. The Promoter reserves the right to contact an entrant for further clarification and verification on this where required.

 We will disqualify any image where we suspect the copyright is not owned by the person submitting it.

 Highly offensive images and use of profanity will result in immediate disqualification.  Images that suggest or encourage irresponsible drinking/behaviour, or illegal activity are not permitted.

 2.4 Copyright in any images you submit remains with you. By participating in the promotion the entrants licence and grants the promoter an exclusive, royalty free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display such content for any purpose in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability. Participants agree not to assert any moral rights in relation to such use where the moral rights in respect of the content are theirs to assert. Participants warrant that the materials are their original works, have not been copied, in whole or in part, from any third party and they have full authority to grant these rights.

 2.5 The winning entries will be published on Glenfiddich’s Facebook page, other Glenfiddich social media channels, on Glenfiddich’s websites or in other Glenfiddich publications. We may publish your photo, name, hometown and testimonial. We will not publish your email address or other contact details.

 3. The prize

 3.1 One winner will be selected daily. Each winner will receive a digital version of their photo restored along with a printed framed photo sent to the address provided when signing up. The printed framed photo will be dispatched within 14 working days of the winner claiming their prize. 

 3.2 The prizes must be dispatched to a UK postal address. The prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives. Glenfiddich reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value in exceptional circumstances.

 3.3 The winners will be chosen by an independent judging panel who will select the winning entry from among the qualifying submissions. Winning selections will be based on the photo and supporting inspirational story. The result is final and no discussion will be entered into regarding the selection of winners.

 3.4 The competition closes at noon on 12/06/14. Entries received after this time and date will not be considered.

 3.5 The winners will be notified within 5 working days of the competition closing date and the prize will be dispatched within 14 days.

 3.6 We will contact the winners via email – please ensure you provide a valid email address and check their email account.

 3.7 If winners do not respond within 14 days of notification we reserve the right to offer the prize to a runner-up or to re-offer the prize in a future competition. The winners may be featured in Glenfiddich’s publications, websites or social media.

4. General

4.1 Incomplete, illegible, corrupted entries or claims or those which are otherwise not in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be valid. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for failure to receive an application where such failure is due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s control.

4.2 In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these terms and conditions, at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment. 

4.3 The Promoter’s decision is final and binding in all matters relating to this promotion.

4.4 To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter accepts no liability for any damage, loss or injury suffered due to participating in this competition.

4.5 To obtain the winners’ names and counties, send a letter requesting this information, with your name and address, along with a self-addressed envelope to Glenfiddich Father’s Day Competition, Gravity Thinking, Emerson Studios, 4-8 Emerson Street, London SE1 9DU.

 4.6 The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries including but not limited to asking for address and identity details (which they must provide within 14 days) and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of this promotions entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means. The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions and these will be binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation this clause.

4.7 These terms and conditions (and any non-contractual disputes/claims which arise out of or in connection with them) will be governed by English law and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
